Keyboard shortcuts
The complete keyboard reference for Kinetic Notes, taken from the application's own help. Learn five and you will rarely reach for the mouse.
The interface has no buttons, because it was designed for the keyboard before anything else. This is the full list, straight from the application’s own help.
The essentials
These five cover almost everything. The search field is where every session starts, and Return is both “open” and “create”.

Moving through notes
Change the selection without leaving the keyboard or touching the list.

Working with notes

Finding things

Formatting
Available when a note holds rich text. Plain-text notes ignore styling, which is usually what you want.

A note on Return
Return⏎ is the only key that does two things, and it is the reason the app feels fast: it opens the note you were searching for, or creates the note you were describing, depending on whether that note already exists. You do not have to know which before you start typing.
